EXCEL PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Exploring Careers and Education Locally (EXCEL) tours launched in the spring of 2017 as a way to connect local high school students with business and career opportunities in Keith County. This career exposure will assist students in choosing a post-secondary education path, and also increases the likelihood of students returning to, or staying in Keith County to join the local workforce.
The fall 2024 EXCEL Tour was the tenth tour to date in thanks to the partnership between Keith County Area Development (KCAD), Keith County Foundation Fund (KCFF), Mid Plains Community College (MPCC), and our local schools. Students gain exposure to a vast array of locally available careers, including: aviation, entrepreneurship, education, banking, auto body repair, sheet metal heating, healthcare, personal care, radio broadcasting, fiber communications, agricultural technology, radio and audio technology, law enforcement, physical therapy and sports medicine, chiropractic services, utility and power, construction management, and more!
The next EXCEL Tour will take place in fall of 2025, stay tuned for details!
