2008 Goals for Keith County Area Development

Goal 1
KCAD will identify funding opportunities primarily for:

  • Administrative costs and overhead; the day-to-day operations of the organization.   Also, funding will be pursued to support a full-time Executive Director position.
  • Funding will be needed to market the property owned by KCAD.

Ken Schilz		 Meet with NIFA and DED representatives to pursue funding options

Build a working relationship with Bob Edwards, CEO at the hospital and coordinate the use of LB 840
Al Bahnsen Review the Perkins County funding model.
Ken Schilz Review the membership fee structure

Goal 2
KCAD will develop the north property known as North Business Park

  • Develop a broad-based marketing strategy
Tasks:  
 

Ogallala North Business Park Committee chaired by Jeff Headley will:

  • Build a solid relationship with the new team including the City Manager and Senator
  • Meet with DED on marketing
  • Research and perhaps list the North Park property with a Regional (out-sourced) Realtor. (Local realtors will be considered in the process)
Goal 3
The functionality of the Board working structure will be reviewed and gradually revised.

HOLD Develop a job description for the Executive Director (on hold until additional funding is available)
